Boats Trains and Automobiles

Wow! What a long day of sightseeing, walking and riding ferry boats.

We got up early and caught the Ferry from the Alameda dock to downtown SF. It was cloudy but there were some nice city views anyway.
We wandered around the wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39, and the waterfront

saw some big old boats

Whacked some Moles
and bowled some high scores
until it was time for our Alcatraz cruise. We got in line and enjoyed a quick cruise to the Rock.

The tour was very educational and a little scary.

As we left Alcatraz there were some more great views of the Bay. We got back to the Pier and found a great seafood restauarant, Fog Harbor Fish House and had a wonderfull fish dinner.
The ferry ride back to Alameda at sunset gave us some final views of the bridges and skyline.

We all fell asleep around 10pm!

On to the Redwoods and Golden Gate Bridge today.
